Seho Lee is a South Korean pianist, opera répétiteur, and International Relations Representative at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin. He is also Guest Professor at Guizhou Normal University and a faculty member of the Beijing International Voice Masterclass Series. In Ireland, he is Artistic Director of the Clontarf Coffee Concert Series and ballet pianist for the Irish National Youth Ballet.
An active international performer and educator, Seho serves as Chairman of the Jury for the Kingsburg International Piano Competition and is a jury member for the Kota Kinabalu International Music Festival (Malaysia) and the High “C” International Singing Competition (China).
Seho earned his BMus in Piano (summa cum laude) from Chugye University for the Arts, and an Artistic Diploma in Opera Coaching (summa cum laude) from the Korea National University of Arts. He received both the President’s Prize and the Creativity Award for academic excellence.
In 2007, he joined the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) as a Pianist Fellow while completing a Master’s in Piano Accompaniment. He became the UK’s first student to receive an MMus in Piano for Dance as a ballet répétiteur (with Distinction), followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Repetiteurship, also with Distinction. He received the Piano Accompaniment Award for Best Accompanist and collaborated with Scottish Ballet and RCS Ballet School, as well as guest accompanying for Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet.
From 2012 to 2014, Seho studied Opera Repetiteur at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where he was a Steinway Piano Scholar. He completed all of his studies on full scholarships, awarded for his outstanding performance.
Seho has won over 30 competitions, including the Seoul Youth Competition (Korea), Osaka International Piano Duo Competition (Japan), and the Alberta Conservatory Competition (Canada). In 2012, he won the Delius Prize and gave a recital at Steinway Hall, London. In 2016, he took First Prize at the Young Musicians International Competition “Città di Barletta” (Italy).
He has performed at major festivals such as the Edinburgh International Festival, the Fringe Festival, and Oxford Lieder Festival. He has also performed at St James’s Palace, London, and Dora Stoutzker Hall, Cardiff, in the presence of the British Royal Family.
